Integration
Legacy Systems
Strings can be integrated into existing applications to serve as a fast, dynamic communications subsystem. Applications can be authored in virtually any programming language and can run across all major operating systems, including Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, and VxWorks, ensuring that OEMs and ISVs that wish to supercharge their existing systems can do so without disrupting their product schedules.
Native Systems
Strings can serve as a complete framework for building communications systems. Since Strings is portable across most commercial operating systems, products built using Strings can be built independent of the underlying OS or chipset. Systems built using Strings typically require significantly less code, use fewer resources, provide more flexibility and ultimately do more than traditional solutions. In turn, OEMs and ISVs can use Strings to ensure the highest return for their software dollars.
Future Proof
As new industry standards emerge, Implicit Networks and our growing developer base will be providing Beads that make it possible for OEMs and ISVs to take advantage of these standards. Be it UPnP, Jini, HAVi, UDDI, SOAP, IPv6 or MPEG4, Strings based devices will be future-proof in their ability to support both existing standards and to incorporate emerging standards as they become available. And since Strings is an optimal platform for deploying new protocols, system integrators can be assured that as new standards emerge, their offerings will be first to support them.
